Changes to All CBISA Online™ Versions
  • On the Reporting Unit Financial screen, the Unit Wide Average Hourly Pay Rate field will now globally update all Occurrence records that currently exist in the reporting unit for the active year that is edited.  If Occurrences exist in the active year (i.e., the occurrence has a date that belongs to the current active year) and a change is made to the Unit Wide rate, you will receive the following message:  "(Number) occurrences could be affected by this change, do you wish to update them to the current rate?"  Select "Yes" to globally update existing records to the newly edited rate, or "No" to leave existing occurrences at the previous rate and use the newly edited rate going forward.
  • "Help" screens have been added for the following screens:  Partnership Module and CBISA™ Customization (in Edit Defaults)
  • When you copy an Occurrence, the "Record Created By" information will show the current user that performed the "copy" and the "Date" will be updated to the copied date, not the original record creation date.
  • We have made tremendous strides in increasing the internet browsers that are now compatible with CBISA Online™.  In addition to Internet Explorer 7, 8, and 9, you may now use the most current versions of Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.  Please be advised that some tabs or function buttons may appear slightly different in each browser; therefore, the screens may not exactly match what you see in any documentation published by Lyon Software.  Contact Lyon Software Support (support@lyonsoftware.com) with any questions or concerns regarding cross browser compatibility.  PLEASE NOTE:  Internet Explorer 6 is no longer available for use as a valid browser.  You must update to Explorer version 7, 8, or 9 or use one of the other available browsers.

Changes to CBISA Online™ for Healthcare
  • You may now update the indirect method of calculation on Occurrence records by changing the method on the Program/General screen.  For example, if no method of calculation was ever selected at the program level (the dropdown shows "None Selected") and Occurrences have been added which also show the method of calculation as "None Selected", then if you change the method on the Program/General screen to "In Community", you will get the following message:  "Do you want to update occurrences for this program that are in the current fiscal year?"  If you answer "yes", then any occurrences with a method equal to "None Selected" in the active year will be updated to the new method, "In Community".  PLEASE NOTE:  Only records with a "like" method will be updated.  In the example above, if any occurrence had a method of calculation chosen different from "None Selected", the occurrence would NOT be updated.
  • The IRS 990H questions for Part VI were changed slightly in the 2010 form; therefore, we have re-designed the IRS questions in Financial Services.  There are now four different free form text boxes for question number 1 which include descriptions for Part I, Part II (previously question #5 on the 2009 form), Part III, and Part V.  Any data previously entered for the 2009 question #5 will automatically be updated to question #1, Part II.
  • There is a new field on the Reporting Unit Financial screen to enter the IRS 990H "Total Functional Expenses".  This expense amount will be used to calculate community benefit as a percentage on the IRS reports for Part I Table 7 and Part II.  All other reports that calculate community benefit as a percentage will continue to use the fields "Total Operating Expenses" and "Total Operating Revenue".

Changes to CBISA Online™ for Education
  • The fiscal (or reporting) year information remains unchanged on the Reporting Unit Financial screen; however, the Academic year fields now contain the label "session" rather than "semester" to allow for increased flexibility.  For entering dated records in CBISA™ (Occurrences, Narratives, and Outcomes), the available "active year" dates will continue to use the fiscal beginning and ending dates as valid entries.  You may preview reports using the fiscal year or any available (defined) academic sessions.
  • In Edit Defaults on the Individuals tab, you may now use leading zeros in the ID field.
