Readme for CBISA™ for Higher Ed Version 7.2 (01/21/2017)

Updates to Note!

·   Login Screen – Now Includes “Show Password” Option

Users can now check box to make password visible when logging into CBISA, if preferred.

·   Attached Files – Multiple Attached Files Now Permitted

All records that had previously accommodated only single file attachments now permit up to five attachments per record.  Maximum size of 4MB per attached file still applies.

·   Oversized Attached Files – Error Message Added

Error message now appears when attaching file exceeding 4MB to any record.

·   Needs Module – Needs Can Now be Marked Inactive

Needs can now be marked inactive, just as Programs, Goals, Narratives, and Outcomes can.  Marking Needs inactive removes Needs records from the Active Browse Box.  Once inactive, they can be accessed again through the More>Show Filters tool.

·   Indicators Module – Renamed to “Indicators & Measurements” Module

A simple name change to more thoroughly identify the data recorded and stored within the module.

·   Indicator Record – Now Displays Source, Focus Area, and Topic Names in Addition to Indicator Name Itself

Openly displaying full composition of Indicator allows Users to more easily create additional Indicators of the same nature.  It is no longer necessary to “dig into” an Indicator field drop arrow of an existing record to determine its origin within the program.

·   History Panel – More Clearly Labeled, Functionality Expanded to Coordinators

The History Panel, once only the domain of System Administrators, is now also available to Coordinators.  The feature, which displays a time-stamped log of user activity for the onscreen record, is now more clearly marked by the words “Expand for History Panel” at the bottom-left corner of the screen.  Hovering the mouse anywhere over the bottom border of the CBISA window changes the border from blue to green, and clicking anywhere on the bottom border displays the History Panel for use.

·   “Lists of Programs” and “Program Contacts” Reports – Dropdown Terms Clarified

“Complete” and “Active” have been replaced with clearer, more descriptive options – “All Programs” and “Programs with Occurrences In This Date Range”.

·   User Profile Screen – Converted to Single Screen Display

All User Settings are now housed on a single display screen rather than split among two separate tabs, making User Profile edits easier and less prone to errors or oversights.

·   Warning Screen Prompts – More “Are You Sure?” Prompts Added

“Are You Sure?” warning prompt added for Undo function and when deleting attached files.  Prompt helps protect users from mistakenly undoing entered data or deleting wanted files.

·   County Field – Now Enhanced with Auto-fill Functionality

County Field in Programs>Target Audience screen now uses auto-fill functionality to allow faster, easier entry for options already entered on existing records.

·   Direct Links Added to Some Record Screens

Some data record screens now have direct links in place for immediate access to certain Default screens.  Examples include a Department link in Programs, Occurrences, and Narratives pages and a Category link in Programs.  For CBISA Plus Users, an Indicator link is also available on the Indicators & Measurements page.  To use, simply move your mouse over the corresponding label (for example, the ‘Department’ label on the Programs page), and the label transforms into a hyperlink to navigate you to the pertinent default page once clicked.

The Default pages still only accessible through Options>Edit Defaults (Defaults for Single Reporting Unit Organizations) are:  Classification Methods, Areas of Interest, and Customizations.
