Readme for CBISA™ for Healthcare Version 7.1.06 (05/20/2016)

Changes to CBISA Plus™ and CBISA Online™

The 2015 IRS 990 Schedule H Instructions contain new directions for reporting in columns (e) and (f) for Part I Table #7 and Part II.  Specifically, the instructions state, "Do not report negative numbers.  If the net community benefit expense is less than $0, enter "0".  Similarly, do not report a negative percent in column (f), but enter "0."

Therefore, the reports for IRS 990H Part I #7 and Part II (report numbers 1 and 2 in the 990 Schedule H reporting menu) have been updated to be in compliance with this change for tax year 2015.  If your fiscal year beginning and ending dates coincide with the calendar year, e.g. January 1, 2015 - December 31, 2015, you will see any negative number and percent reported as "0" while working in the active year 2015 and later.  If your fiscal year beginning and ending dates do not coincide with the calendar year, e.g. July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016 or October 1, 2015 - September 30, 2016, you will see any negative number and percent reported as "0" while working in the active year 2016 and later.

Please note:  This change ONLY applies to IRS 990H reporting for Parts I and II. The corresponding equivalent worksheets will continue to show the negative numbers as will all other community benefit reports.
